Passions.

At home.

My main passion is of course my wife Debbie, also at home there are the four dogs Tia the Labrador, Ishka the eldest Great Dane, her daughter Bertha and Dulcie the oldest looking of our Danes, but actually the middle one in terms of years.

I have three areas where my passions come together, that is Elephants, the environment and Chester Zoo. For many years we have been members of Chester Zoo, primarily so we can visit the Elephants there, going back several years the Zoo was in a poor financial position and the Elephant House was always short of money, and so I started raising money by collecting empty printer inkjet and laser cartridges, and over the years this has raised over £50000 for the Elephant house.

Now you may have noticed a little theme here in that I like the bigger things in life (No Debbie I am not saying you are fat), and having always been interested in road transport, I have a particular passion for those great lumbering trucks that push and pull abnormal loads around the country.

Just to provide a balance, at the other end of the scale I am keen follower of Formula One racing. Having watched it on television for many years I got my first real taste of a Formula one grand prix at Silverstone in 1992, and have attended, many others since.
